Gina Had A Little Lam

Hello World, my name is Riley Preston Lam. I was born on May 17th and weigh 7lbs 2 oz. Ok, so I am a little early, I just couldn't wait to see everyone.

As some of you may have heard, mommy had a little trouble getting me out, but she is ok now. We are all resting well at Evanston Northwestern Hospital. If you would like to talk to mommy or daddy, they are in room 2618 in the Women's Hospital. I can't wait to meet all of my new family and friends. Love you all!!!

Today, May 7, 2006, my Mommy and Daddy saw me

for the very first time! I hope they saw me wave and smile!

They both knew already that I was a boy so I was too shy to let the camera see.

what you talkin bout doc?

dear timothy,

today i ate your chili despite my telling you how bad it was for you to eat. i couldn't resist it because i was very hungry. but it turns out, i really don't like chili. anyway, i will replace your stash so don't be sad.

i did not eat your cookies however. i left those alone. okay, this is a lie. but i only ate one cookie. i promise. it was yummy. i think Eggy agreed.

some exciting news we got today huh? the first of a series of pelvic exams and the surprising news of the 2cm dilation! even if Eggy takes a few more weeks to arrive, this is quite far along. the upshot is that Eggy may well be coming along sooner than anticipated. The 2cm dilation is enough for the doctor to actually feel his head! from today until Eggy can fully squeeze through, is the difference of about 8cm, seemingly not far at all. But an arduous 8cm it likely will be.

i can't wait to hold him not in my belly but in my arms! Congrats Timothy! you're gonna be a papa very soon!
