Change of seasons and garb 2008

Winter is officially here. It will be my third winter in Chicago already! I cannot believe it! My first winter, I was pregnant with Riley and now he is a healthy, articulate, amazing two year old toddler. What happened? I just blinked and now I have two-year-old. Of all the years in my life, I think this past one flew by the quickest. I don't think I like that. Why couldn't it have been like this during grad school, which felt at times like time was going backwards??? Now, I want to savor my 30's, enjoy every fleeting second of my son growing (which happens so fast).. I hardly remember what it was like to hold him as a little bundle of newborn baby. Now he is able to carry a full conversation with me, amazing me with his imagination and his uncanning ability to express his needs, his emotions, and thoughts. Tonight, after dinner, he gave me a kiss and hug around my neck and said, "thank you mommy, dinner was yummy." *sigh*

Some pictures of our HaLLoWeen Party 2008. Thank you guys for attending! It meant a lot to us to see you all.. =)

End of summer, can't wait till next year

I had a fun and exciting summer this year! My first merry-go-round, my first time at Kiddie Land, my first choo choo ride and we topped it off with a whole day at the beach with my friends.

I can't wait for next summer!!!

Mane Attraction

This past weekend, the Lam family drove to the Lake County Fairgrounds. It was Riley's and also my first time on a Merry-Go-Round. It was AWESOME. Weeee!

dimsum and ball-ball

We visited Grant Park after a lunch date with the Diversiev family. It was endearing to watch Joaquin and Riley play *soccer*

During lunch at Phoenix restaurant, I was surprised to see Riley showing interest in using chopsticks. He managed to get the rice morsels into his little mouth. Ah, that's my Korean boy!
